Avoiding peer pressure in my PhD on a daily basis

As going through the daily bumps in my daily ride in PhD, I often come to the point where junior researchers feel a peer pressure due to the graduating scholars having 9-10 research articles in their domains. However, one thing we all need to know is that a researcher's mind cannot not be trained for high quality research in presence of pressure from PI and senior scholars. Let them think and work. One should be generous enough to let his scholar think in their way, have weekly discussions, and guide them if the PI observes the deviation from his path. AVOID PEER PRESSURE AT ALL COSTS, because this kills the creativity in a scholar. I have been avoiding this on a daily basis, from discussing with my seniors in lab to the friends in my hostel. Sometimes I have a scary feelin, what if I don't have so much publications! But yeah! Let's see! till now, one should focus on the present itself. Thus I have been focusing ONLY ON MYSELF AND MY WORK, nothing else! #peerpressure #researcher #focus #pressure #mind #conscious #life #phd #goals
